Eighth Pa Herb Fest

I just thought I’d send out a quick reminder for those of you living in the Central PA area. Tomorrow is the final day of the 8th Annual Pennsylvania Herb Festival. The Herb Fest is being held at the York Expo Center on the York Fairgrounds.

The festivities will take place between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. For more information, a full schedule of events, and a list of the exhibitors, visit the PA Herb Fest Website.

The theme of this year’s herb festival centers around the 2006 Herb of the Year… Scented Geraniums. I’m sure there will be plenty of scented geraniums on display, as well as for sale, and a wealth of information regarding growing and using scented geraniums.

In addition to geraniums there will be many other herb plants available from herb growers located in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. So here’s your chance to pick up a few herb plants and talk with the growers and other herb gardeners.

In all there will be over 70 exhibitors and vendors offering plants, crafts, herbs, flowers, perennials, herbal products, gourmet foods, and lots of good gardening information.

Throughout the day there will also be speakers giving lectures on growing, using, and cooking with herbs, along with other interesting gardening related topics.
